We have decided to sell the bulk of our race team. We shall keep 6/35 Old Birds.
There are some top class racers still from this group to be offered.
Out of the 100 youngsters in the race loft, 40 were latebreds that were being nursed and prepared to be top 2 year olds.
We have selected 65/100 that has scored top positions, and they would have been kept over as 2 year olds.
Here we have decided to keep a maximum of 10-15 to give us a 20 pigeon Old Bird Team for next year.
We have purchased another 15m race loft, and our focus now is to breed a very big team of youngsters to try and establish more click pairs, and test many babies rather that keeping a lot of top old birds.
I am a young bird specialist, and old birds do not suit my system of training, thus this decision has been made.
This is an opportunity to obtain orientation tested stock, as well as some top racers.
