“Ek verkoop my duiwe.” Dit is iets wat ek gedink het ek nooit sal se nie.
Ek en my vrou is geseen met n klein baba dogtertjie daarom het ek besluit om vir eers vaarwel te roep. Ek het baie tyd en geld die laaste paar jaar aan duiwe spandeer en nou wil ek dieselfde aan my gesin doen. Oor die jare het ek slegs die beste duiwe probeer bekom soos gesien sal word in die volgende paar veilings. Van die broeiduiwe is nog nooit geteel nie en van hulle het slegs een of twee kleintjies geteel. Dit klink dalk onmoontlik maar as jy met 120 broeimannetjies en 150 broeiwyfies sit is dit glad nie so onmoontliknie. Jy kan ook net soveel kleintjies in n jaarteel.
Ek en n paar vooraanstaande duiweboere het elke duif wat verkoop gaan word hanteer en ons is almal tevrede met die kwaliteit van die duiwe wat te koop aangebied word..
Ek glo en vertrou dat die duiwe wat aangebied word slegs vreugde vir hul nuwe eienaars sal gee.
